This octopus is based upon the ATX second stage with proven cold water capability and the performance you would expect from an Apeks pneumatically balanced valve. It features a diver-adjustable venturi control, a high visibility yellow front cover, yellow accent pieces and a 36” yellow hose.

This 2nd stage regulator has a larger purge button, improved ergonomics on the venturi lever and the Cracking Resistance Control. In addition, the 2nd stage now boasts protection against infection since all moulded parts are made with an additive that kills MRSA, protects against E-Coli, bacteria and fungi and is also very effective against viruses, mould, yeast and algae. 

The XTX40 Octopus by Apeks offers similar features and performance as the XTX40 second stage, as well as the option for Reversible Venturi System (RVS). Complete with a high-visibility yellow front cover and a 36” yellow hose, this octopus is suitable for cold water use (below 10 C / 50 F).
